New Year’s Eve is fast approaching here in the UK- where did December go?!
I had half a post written at the end of November to discuss this year’s NaNoWriMo, but somehow forgot about it and never posted it… I loved taking part of NaNoWriMo this year. I tried a new way of plotting my story, got some new characters created, and found a way to write quite productively while juggling my paying job as well. I didn’t win, life interrupted a little half way through, but I managed to write around 20 000 words and overall the experience left me feeling positive and excited for future projects.
I’m a sucker for new beginnings, fresh starts and any reason to clear out cupboards and start again, so yeah, new year’s eve is my drug (cue ke$ha). I’m weary of making big new year’s resolutions, though, because I’m an incurable time optimist and being reasonable is not my forte. If anything my goal for 2020 will be to aim high – but set some goals that are actually.within reason.
Wherever you are in the world, I hope 2020 will be a glorious and inspiring year, with lots of love and as little sorrow as possible.
